The Science and Education Assistant is responsible for assisting the Block Island Program: in the recruitment, orientation, and training of volunteers; performing office duties; developing interpretive displays and materials; in the operation of summer nature walks, summer camp programs and other activities; and with biological monitoring and other scientific activities. The Science and Education Assistant is directly supervised by the Director of Land and Freshwater Conservation. This is a short-term (10-week), part-time (20 hrs. per week) position beginning on/or about June 11, 2012. Housing is not provided.
